Master of Science (MSc) in Physics

The admission criteria to the MSc studies in physics are either a BSc degree in physics from a Swiss University or an equivalent preparation from other comparable university institution.

If the BSc degree is not recognized as equivalent, a pre-master or some complement to the master can be required. The MSc program in Physics - generally 18 months - requires 90 ECTS to complete:

  • compulsory courses, 21 ECTS,
  • elective (specialized and other) courses, 24 ECTS,
  • seminars, colloquia, project in research group, 9 ECTS,
  • Master thesis, 36 ECTS.
